How this works — why the destination URL must be encoded
Everflow deep linking works by hanging a destination URL off your tracking
link as a url= parameter. The catch is that the destination is
itself a URL, full of the same ? and &
characters that separate parameters. Left raw, Everflow reads them as
parameters on its own link, and everything after the first
& is torn off before the storefront ever sees it. The click
still tracks; the campaign attribution silently disappears.
So the destination is assembled first, in full, and then percent-encoded
as one single string. : becomes %3A,
/ becomes %2F, ? becomes
%3F and & becomes %26. Everflow
decodes it once on the redirect and hands the storefront the URL you
actually meant.
The order matters. Product URL, then the tracking parameters appended
with ? or & depending on whether the product
URL already has a query string, then encode the whole thing, then attach it
to your tracking link:
https://desktronic.lt/products/homeone?variant=41025709047946 + &tw_source=affiliates&tw_campaign=Test → encodeURIComponent(…) → https://www.xjcs5z7m.com/28KL6/3QQG7?url=https%3A%2F%2F…
Your tw_source, tw_campaign and coupon are
read out of the tracking link you paste and moved into the encoded
destination. They have to move: a deep link overrides the offer's
default destination entirely, so anything left sitting on the tracking
link's own query string never reaches the storefront. That is also why you
cannot edit them here — they are yours, and moving them is automatic.
And an empty coupon is worse than no coupon. The storefront's coupon
script reads coupon= with a blank value as an instruction to
clear whatever coupon is already on the cart, so this tool omits the
parameter entirely when there is no coupon rather than passing it empty.
